Wagner’s breathtaking masterpiece comes to cinemas in an atmospheric new staging by François Girard, with Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin on the podium to conduct a supreme cast. Piotr Beczała stars as the mysterious swan knight, opposite Tamara Wilson as the virtuous Elsa and Christine Goerke as the villainous sorceress Ortrud. Evgeny Nikitin is Ortrud’s power-hungry husband, Telramund, and bass Günther Groissböck is King Heinrich.
